Yesterday, we took in a stray kitten. It was in our driveway. It was so cute...it was gray with bright green eyes. Unfortunately...my father and grandfather did not think it was so cute AND my cat McKenzie didn't like it either. So, today I had to take it to the Henry County Animal Shelter. The ktten was adorable and such a well tempered little thing. Hopefully, it will find a good home. Anyone like Maya Angelou?? I love her poetry...here is one that a friend posted on MySpace and I haven't ever read it before. What she says is the way I feel...I am a Christian...but when I say that...I'm not bragging about who I am...I'm thankful that I'm not who I was.
When I say. . . I am a Christian
Im not shouting Im clean livin.
Im whispering I was lost,
Now Im found and forgiven.
When I say. . . I am a Christian
I dont speak of this with pride.
Im confessing that I stumble
And need Christ to be my guide.
When I say. . . Im a Christian
Im not bragging of success.
Im admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say. . . I am a Christian
Im not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.
When I say. . . I am a Christian
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say. . . I am a Christian
Im not holier than thou,
Im just a simple sinner
Who received Gods good grace, somehow!
