I really love this idea. I have been actually pondering and thinking about my belongings lately. What is really of value? What do I have I don't need? I am unemployed at the moment. Finances are really tight. I am planning a trip to India next month and don't have enough money to finance it. So, this trip has even brought a brighter light to this cloud chart that has been forming and processing in my head for a few months now. We live with so much waste around us. We live with all of our treasures piled high and stuffed in every crevice of our lives. Those things do not really matter. What matters is life? There is life in building realtionships with friends, life in sustaining relationships with family, life in giving a helping hand to others, life in loving someone else. All of the stuff we surround ourselves....is truly null and void, waste. Do I really need 600 CDs when I can log onto the internet and listen to anything I want? Do I really need 50 shirts? Do I really need 100 different colors of eye shadow? I look around and see stuff.... stuff that is money not well spent. Stuff that could have paid off a credit card (or not charge up the credit card in the first place). Stuff that could have helped my friend. Stuff that could feed someone who is hungry. Do we need multiple cars, a big house, and designer handbags? No. I love what this guy in the video is doing. Now, grant it I would not like living in that small of a house. Plus, that small of a house is not acceptable for a family. But, I looked at some of his other designs and I love the houses he has come up with. We need more people who are like minded with this guy. We all need to pay more attention to our waste.
