I watched Bride Wars tonight with my friend Michelle from church. I knew it was going to be a funny movie...but I wasn't prepared for it to be a tear jerker. Maybe it was just a tear jerker for me because what all I have been going through lately with my best friend... but, it really made me think of how thankful I am to still have him in my life.

The movie was about friendships and how strong those bonds can be. The quote above is one of the closing clauses of the movie. It is talking about that friend that stands beside you when the world is crashing down around you. That friend that knows the darkest crannies of your life, and loves you anyways. Sometimes you find that the strongest bonds you have around you are your friends. And for me my strongest bond is with my best friend Chris. I know that no matter what we are going through, we will be there for each other. He knows me better than anyone else on the planet. I completely trust him with everything. I cherish his friendship. He holds a special place in my heart. I am so thankful that God has put him in my life. We need those people in our lives that will be pillars for us when we need one to lean on, be the light when we can't see, and be our voice when we no longer can find the words or strength to speak. We are lucky if we can find someone who can be that friend for us. You will find that those type of friendships are truly one in a million....once in a lifetime. No matter what happens...or what tifts you get into...at the end of it all, you lock arms and stand shoulder to shoulder, heart to heart.
