"What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.” ~Albert Pine

Hey,

Today is a busy, busy day. This whole week is going to be busy. I finally got my practicum assignment straightened out. I am with an 8th grade science teacher, Ms. Harris. She seems to be very nice and I am looking forward to working with her. I went yesterday to meet with her and set up a schedule for me to come in. Today, however, when I went to the school...she was going home sick. This was the first day that she has missed of the school year and it happened on my first day to come work with her. I, instead, worked with the teacher next door. Her team was taking their students to visit the High School. So, I went with about a hundred eighth graders to go and see what High School is all about. It was very interesting. I haven't been out of high school all that long...but things have changed dramatically. There was this one guy that I saw who had hair all the way to his butt. There were kids who had blue hair, etc. AND they got to wear flip flops. How lucky are they?!? We always got yelled at for wearing sandals. We had to always have "Jesus" style sandals. But, now days they can wear flip flops. I hope they will let the teachers where flip flops and have blue hair. Just kidding about the flip flops... (blue hair is a fantasy of mine for some crazy reason...so if they ever let the teachers have blue hair...I will be the first one at the hair salon trying it out) Anyways, I have got to go and get ready for my seminar at Mercer. Hope things are going well with you guys. I haven't heard from some of you in a while and hope that everything is okay. I pray that God is working powerfully in your lives and that you will continuously experience His unwavering love.
