Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I had a pretty good one. It was kind of exciting this year because I didn't really know what all I was getting. I usually pick out my own gifts or tell my parents exactly what I want. This year with my parents both being on the road...I couldn't be there to pick out my own stuff and my parents didn't really ask us what we wanted. So...this Christmas was a lot of fun. I felt like a kid again...not knowing what Santa Claus was going to bring me. We also went and saw the "King Kong" movie as a family. It was a very good movie. The scene with all the bugs was a bit unnerving. I was squirming all in my seat. But it was a fun movie to watch. Poor Cynthia was crying her eyes out at the end of the movie. She didn't understand that King Kong was a real animal and didn't really die. She's ten...you would think she would realize that by now. However, she was in a complete sob mode. I had to sit there with her for ten minutes after the movie explaining that King Kong wasn't real.
Yesterday, I finally was able to get together with my friend Katie. She was in a lot of the cruise pictures that I had posted. She no longer goes to my church so I don't really get to see her too often. During the week is so hectic with school and life that you take seeing your friends at church for granted. Then when they don't go to your church anymore...you have to work at spending time with them. SO, after weeks not being able to get together we finally did yesterday. We met at the Pinehurst Tea Room. I have never been there to eat lunch before. I've been for weddings and meetings but not just to eat there like a restaurant. It was really good. I enjoyed it. Then we went shopping at our favorite store: Lane Bryant. However, I didn't find anything I liked. The Jonesboro Road store is limited on the things they have. I'm disappointed in the. Who wants to drive to Southlake? Not me. Anyways...then we went and saw the movie "Fun with Dick and Jane." It was hilarious. Everyone should go see it. I love movies that just make you laugh...no crying. I'm usually a cry baby. Then we went to Logans Steakhouse and set at the bar for a drink. The bartender was making fun of us because Katie just ordered loaded mash potatoes and I ordered Broccoli. That was it. And it took forever for it to come out. But it was such a good time hanging out with Katie. I didn't realize how much I missed her.
Well, I've gotta get busy. The day is wasting away. I am doing my "spring cleaning" this week. Of course it will take me ALL WEEK AND NEXT WEEK to finish. I get so distracted and forget what I was doing. I have to play with everything as I'm cleaning. If anyone feels like coming over and helping...come on. :~)
