Have you missed me?

Hello ya'll....

It has been such a long time since I have been on here, I feel so out of place. I've missed talking with you guys. I have been so disconnected. School got really crazy and so I have been extremely busy with that. The really bad storms that we've had from the hurricane has killed my internet, garage door opener, and alarm system at my house. So, without the internet at my house....I have been lost. I have had to use all of my time at Dori's on her computer trying to do my homework...So I haven't had time to do the blogging. How did everyone else come along in the storms? Tornadoes hit pretty close to our house, but nothing happened at my house except for the whole killing my internet thing. It was funny....Old people kill me sometimes. Most of you guys know that my Grandparents live with my family and so Tina, Cynthia, and I were downstairs in my part of the house when the storms hit. We heard the sirens from the city giving a tornado warning...so we all went into my room which doesn't have any windows...but my grandparents would not come downstairs to safety. My pawpaw kept saying that there wasn't any tornadoes around us that they were all further south....forget the fact that the city has sirens blaring outside to take cover. So the next morning we discover that Kellytown Road which is like a half mile up the street got clobbered by a tornado. My pawpaw would rather sit upstairs and have a visit with the tornado than walk down those stairs to safety. CRAZY!!!

I am hearing a lot of stuff about the London bombs...how now they don't think that it is connected to Al Queda.... how crazy is this world? My heart goes out to the people in London and I am lifting them up in prayer. Have ya'll seen the new campaign that is coming out of London....some photographer is taking pictures that have a subtle message about not being afraid....it is really cool. One of the pictures I absolutely love...it a picture of a skinny white man with no shirt and he is flexing his muscles and it has written on the picture "Not afraid". That one is one of the funny ones...but there are several that are really, really stunning. It is a really cool campaign. I will try to find some pictures to post of them so ya'll can see them. I think ya'll will like it.

Zach was able to come home for an over night stay last weekend. We picked him up on Saturday at one and then we had to have him back Sunday night by five. I redecorated Zach's room for him before he got home. It looks really nice...Zach has never really had a room that was "his." He always had hand me down furniture and never really cared to decorate his room. And since we moved in the new house...he was too messed up to care to even unpack and do something with his room....so I totally re-did it and gave him a new room for the new Zach. He was really surprised and loved it. He really appreciated it. Mom and I just didn't want him to come back to the same "environment" so I re-did his room and then I rearranged mine and Zach's living room downstairs...so everything would look fresh and new. Zach didn't want to do anything but stay at home and swim, watch movies, and play video games. They can't do any of those things at NLB...so he wanted to get caught up on those things. We watched the movies Hitch and also The Village. Of course I have already seen those...but it is amazing how far behind you get when you stop watching movies for 9 months... :~)

I am watching Paige again this weekend. Her parents are out of town. I have been staying with her and she has been coming over to help me "watch" Josh and she went to my class with me last night. My classes are finally over for the summer....can I get a AMEN!! Both of my teachers came up to me and told me how impressed they have been with my work. I am not trying to brag...but when your teachers tell you that you are doing graduate degree quality work and how impressed they are with you....it definitely makes you feel good. But if they only knew that I wait until the due date to write any of my papers or put my projects together...they would probably fall over...

Tomorrow I am going to the American Idol concert in Gwinnett. I am excited. I am going with Dori. I think it would be a lot of fun. Then on Monday...Dori, Josh, and I are going to Orlando for a week. We are supposed to go to Universal Studios, Sea World, and Adventure Islands. I have already been to those places before..but they haven't. So, I think it will be a lot of fun. I just hope that the weather is nice. So, since I will be in Florida I probably won't be able to write again for a whole week. So, I hope that everyone will have a wonderful next week and I pray that God is watching out for each and everyone one of you. Take care and I will talk at ya'll soon. Love you.
